The truth has never been so useless as it is in the modern world. People comment, like and share hoaxes without even checking the facts. The truth becomes what you find when you're scrolling through your news feeds and facts become buried in fiction.
Hopefully not this time because now there's a real danger.
A few years ago a brave whistle blower released a screenshot of a chat he had had on an internet forum. This conversation had a few people from around the community reminisce about a television show they had watched in there childhood an adventure that involved pirates, heroes and villains all put together with sketchy puppet work and a fragile little girl.
Trying as hard as they could they were not able to find any information about the show except that any adult alive at the time had only seen static when it played.
The story soon became a urban legend and spread throughout the world as just a internet tail about the dangers of media. The fact became buried in fiction.
Its not a myth though, it's real and its coming back. To prove it to you we have to go inside. I hope you believe my story.
After the screenshot of the forum dropped I remembered the show and I tried to track down Mike Painter. I soon found that he didn't exist.
An internet search for any of the others came out fruitless too. It at first seemed like they were fake and I thought I had fallen victim to the Mandela effect remembering something that wasn't real. but it was too vivid to forget so I dug deeper.
The second thing I tried to find was any references to the TV channel that the show had aired on. I hit gold.
Vmacc had existed but it shut down in 1990 after a scandal rocked the foundation of the company that had run it. There was no specifics about what the scandal was about but I knew how to find out.
After A quick search through the companies employee list I found the name of there in house Lawyer. Karen Petimi.
Using a criminal case database I was able to go through all of Karen's previous cases and in less then an hour I had another lead. In 1990 Karen Petimi had fought a case for the Vmacc Media group and lost.
The parents of a female child star had sued after the child was admitted into hospital suffering from damaged vocal chords. The scene she was a part of had involved so much screaming that she had to be rushed to the hospital and have an emergency operation done on her throat just for her to keep part of her voice.
The case had fallen to the favour of the parents and Vmacc had lost everything.
This would have been a perfect ending to what is possibly the creepiest tale of twisted media that I've heard but unfortunately this is where the story ends and where the real world danger begins.
Continuing my research I found that two years ago the headquarters, assets and properties of Vmacc had been purchased by a small media group hoping to use it as the location for a new TV channel. I also found that they would be rebooting many of the Vmacc properties.
- There was nothing further I could do. I spent the next few days trying to get in contact would anyone I could from that Era of time who might have seen the show and poured through my research over and over again.
It was only when I lost all hope did I find something. Karen Petimi. The lawyer was hiding a secret and it was right in front of me. Her name was the key and as I looked at it over and over again. I was a idiot to not realize it sooner.
Who would really have a last name such as Painter. No self respecting person would keep that name. Unless it was an anagram of something else. Karen Petimi was Mike painter. All I know now is I have to find her. She was the whistleblower and she was a part of Candle Cove. She knows all the secrets. Maybe with her help I can shut it down.
